Usher Lifts Lid on Steamy Super Bowl Show
It is universally known that when it comes to Usher, no woman is immune from his charm, looks and talents – which was why fans were concerned about his sultry musical performance with Alicia Keys two weeks ago.
On Sunday, 11 February, Usher and Keys got fans swooning (and their brows raising) over their intimate rendition of their 2004 duet, “My Boo”, at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
In an interview with “The Breakfast Club” radio show on Monday, 19 February, Usher was asked how music producer Swizz Beatz (AKA Keys’ husband) felt about him cosying up to his wife.
“We laughed about it,” the 45-year-old replied. “It’s crazy how people think. But it’s all love.”
He added: “It was literally about having fun because of a song me and Alicia made many years ago, and we celebrate it because of the legacy of it.”
Beatz himself shared the same sentiment in an Instagram post he uploaded a day after the show (Monday, 12 February).
“Tonight’s performance was nothing but amazing with 2 amazing Giants! [sic]” he wrote alongside photos of the pair. “Congrats @usher and my love @aliciakeys that song is a classic. We don’t do negative vibes on this side we make history [sic].”
